Over 200 years ago visionary Christian leaders across Atlantic Canada shaped this region. They planted churches and shaped a denomination that would grow to close to 600 churches in almost every neighborhood. In both urban centres and rural communities they started churches as far as a horse could go in January! Their incredible vision has carried us for over two centuries.

But something has changed. Urbanization. Means of transportation. Demographic shifts. Secularization. Shrinking communities. New communities. The landscape has changed. Neighborhoods simply don’t look the same.

The message of Jesus remains the same. But new methods are essential. It’s time to reshape our region to reach our new day for Christ.
